Iowa state laws requires that a person must be 18 years of age to get a tattoo. We will not tattoo you unless you provide state or government issued photo identification verifying that you are of age.   Parental consent is not legal.  Tattooing a minor in the state of Iowa is a serious misdemeanor.

A person may not get a piercing at K. Ink Tattoo if you are under the age of 18, unless; parental consent is obtained. We have a specific parental consent form that MUST be used and if the parent is not present during the procedure, the form must be filled out completely, specifically in regards to type of piercing and location and must be signed either in front of a K. Ink Staff member or a public notary (with the notary signature and information included).

No nipple or genital piercing of minors, no waiver or consent will get you past this.  We will not do it.

Our insurance has a minor-piercing rider that allows coverage for the piercing of minors with parental consent. To my knowledge, anyone piercing minors without parental consent is doing-so outside of any insurance coverage and should something happen to your piercing such as a medical visit, it will not be covered by the insurance in those establishments. We are safe and we are insured.
